EXCLUSIVE: The award-winning production company and creative studio Riverside entertainment named Cynthia Granier as production manager and Brendon Nelson as General Manager, as part of its continued expansion into scripted, unscripted and commercial content.
In his new role, Graner will be responsible for managing and overseeing Riverside’s physical production across all lines of business. As Managing Director, Nelson will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s business strategy, with a particular focus on customer engagement, staff retention and recruitment, supplier relations and best practices across industries.
Riverside’s past and current projects include music documentaries Blue Bird and Midland: The Sonic Ranch and soccer doc First tryas well as series such as Magnolia Network’s Make it modern with Brooke and BriceABC On the file and Disney+ Disney Insider. The studio recently announced its first feature film manodromestarring Jesse Eisenberg and Adrien Brody, slated for release in early 2023. His newest additions will both be based in Los Angeles and report to managing partners Jeff Molyneaux, Brian Loschiavo and Pastor Alvarado III.

Mills Goodloe.
The film currently in production in Minnesota tells the story of Jane (Coughlan), a 40-year-old married actress and mother of two on the wrong side, who lives a life in Los Angeles “beside the dream.” When she returns to visit her charming but ailing father (Bridges) in her suburban Minnesota hometown, Jane struggles to reconcile her imagined future with her current reality – and finds peace with the in-between. Coughlan scripted the pic, which is produced by Conroy Kanter, Stephen Wallack, Bianca Goodloe and Louise Spinner.

EXCLUSIVE: Gravitas Ventures acquired worldwide rights to TJ Regan’s docudrama I am DB Cooperas well as the North American rights to Scott Leberecht’s documentary, jurassic punk. The Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company will release the former film in select theaters and on VOD on December 9, bringing the latter to select theaters and on VOD on December 16.
In I am DB Cooper, which Regan directed from his script, two bounty hunter brothers encounter an ailing old man named Rodney Bonnifield while coordinating his bail after a violent encounter on a dairy farm involving a machete. Near his sentencing, he reveals to the slaves not only that he was responsible for DB Cooper’s famous plane hijacking, but that the ransom money is still buried and he needs their help to dig it up. Against the clock with Rodney’s prison sentence looming, the group embark on a modern treasure hunt to recover the money they buried on the Columbia River 50 years ago, uncovering bizarre truths about Rodney Bonnifield and its connection to the single unsolved hijacking. in the history of the United States.
World premiere under the title Spaz at SXSW 2022, jurassic punk tells the story of Steve Williams, a little-known pioneer of computer animation, and the events surrounding the historic moment his digital dinosaurs appeared on the big screen in jurassic park. Steve and a chorus of expert witnesses tell a dramatic tale of rebellion and revolution at Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic in the early 1990s – a time when creating realistic creatures with a computer was considered impossible. Although Williams’ groundbreaking work transformed Hollywood, his appetite for anarchy and reckless disregard for authority may have cost him the recognition he deserved.

Gravitas Ventures Senior Director of Acquisitions Bill Guentzler brokered the deal for I am DB Cooper with UTA, negotiate the jurassic punk deal with Submarine Entertainment’s Joe Tufano on behalf of the filmmakers.
EXCLUSIVE: Edward Furlong (American history x) and Dee Wallace (The howling) have been cast in the horror thriller The forest hillswritten and directed by Scott Goldberg.
The film which entered production late last month follows a disturbed man who is tormented by nightmarish visions, after sustaining a traumatic brain injury while camping in the Catskill Mountains. Furlong plays Billy, a member of the brain trauma unit, who befriends Rico (Chiko Mendez), a man who is both mentally and emotionally disturbed. Wallace will play Angela, who is stuck in the middle of the horror that is about to unfold.
Scott Hansen produces The forest hills alongside Digital Thunderdome. Furlong is replaced by Industry Entertainment; Wallace by AEFH.
EXCLUSIVE: Guillermo Ivan (The Unknown Hitman: The Story of El Cholo AdrÍan) was selected for the lead role in Nicolás Di Blasi’s actor 6 hour drivewritten by Garry Charles (Welcome to Acapulco), with Michael Madsen (The Hateful Eight), Lara Wolf (Quantico) and Roberto Sanchez (Mrs. American Pie) co-starred.
The film set between the United States and Mexico picks up with ex-Marine Chris Montano (Iván) after his wife goes missing while on a business trip. The father with a dangerous past finds himself in a race against time to save his life. But as the truth comes out, Chris realizes there’s more at stake than his wife’s life… Whoever kidnapped her also has his daughter. Madsen will play unscrupulous FBI agent Dules, with Wolf playing Chris’ wife, Sara.
Ruben Ozuna Gallardo will produce the pic, which will go into production in October, under his ROGFILMS banner. Iván is replaced by BRS/Gage Talent, Eileen O’Farrell Personal Management and manager Gabriel Blanco Iglesias; Madsen by BR Talent in Montreal; Wolf by Take 3 Talent and Suzann Wade Theatrical Agents in the UK; and Sanchez by Global Artists Agency, Smith Young Talent Agency in Atlanta, Angela Anderson International Talent Management and Rothman/Andrés Entertainment.
EXCLUSIVE: Global Digital Publishing acquired worldwide documentary rights Clean slate by filmmaker Jared Callahan (Janey makes a game), planning it for a limited theatrical release in November. Pic will hit digital platforms on December 2.
Clean slate follows two friends in a Southern drug recovery program as they struggle to come to terms with their addiction and mental illness by making a short film about the pain they caused their families.
Callahan produced his latest alongside Jonathan Pickett, with Jennifer Pelling and Alex Lehmann (Meet cute, paddleton) serving as executive producers.
