DC is giving the Green Lantern costume a small but significant change

DC’s Dark Crisis preview material suggests that Hal Jordan/Green Lantern has swapped out his usual green boots for a new white pair.
Hal Jordan seems to be back with DC’s white boots dark crisis.
The Burbank-based publisher recently announced its latest scale DCU “Crisis“, revealing cover art, as well as a number of preview pages without letters. While Hal Jordan has most often been depicted wearing white gloves and green boots with his Green Lantern Corps uniform, this promotional material for dark crisis instead sees him wearing white gloves with matching white boots.
Hal Jordan has been described as wearing white boots in the past, but not often – and not for a while. Even so, some instances of the Silver-Age Green Lantern sporting colorless shoes could be attributed to non-canon variant covers or good old-fashioned coloring errors. However, Hal’s feet are visible on the cover of Justice League: Road to Dark Crisis #1, the cover of dark crisis #1 and an inside flyleaf of the latter. He has white boots in all three illustrations, suggesting this is a deliberate design change, not an oversight. While this change seems pretty minor, it was enough to get fans talking on sites like Reddit.
