Oh no! John Abraham will soon quit social media
Mumbai: After modeling for numerous commercials and companies, John Abraham made his film debut with Jism (2003). This was followed by his antagonistic breakout roles in the top-grossing action thriller Dhoom (2004) and in Zinda (2006). He then received critical acclaim for Water (2005) and Baabul (2006).
John prepares for the release of “Attack”. Recently, while interacting with Shilpa Shetty, John revealed that he doesn’t have any social media apps on his phone nor is he on WhatsApp. He also added that he will be quitting social media very soon.
During the launch of the film’s trailer, John spoke about retiring from social media soon. He said: “It’s a very powerful medium, especially for me, because I’m an animal lover. So to protect animals, it’s a great medium. But my problem is that I don’t know how to use social networks, I’m not good at it. So when someone’s not good at something then why be there?
He also talked about his film clashing with SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”. He said: ”We were assured of good screens. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Rajamouli and his kind of cinema. But we also respect what we have done. We’re definitely number two for anyone.
The long-awaited trailer for John Abraham’s Attack: Naye Hindustan Ki Nayi Fauj dropped recently. Directed by Lakshya Anand, Part 1 of the franchise also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj and Ratna Pathak Shah in the lead roles. The action-thriller with a dose of sci-fi will see John become India’s first super soldier as he takes on the bad guys.
The attack is meant to bring to life a world where future wars will be fought over technology and artificial intelligence. Delivering on its promise, the trailer opens with John attempting daredevil stunts, while being watched by the artificial intelligence. Through the 2.30 minute video, we see that John’s character has volunteered for a one-of-a-kind experiment with cameras and mics fitted to his body, to make him the “super soldier”.
