THE GAME YOU WANT
by Bernardo Cubria
Fed up with the theater world’s desires to lock him down, Mexican playwright Bernardo Cubría sarcastically launches “Nar-Cocos,” a play about drug traffickers on Dia de los Muertos. To his surprise, the Public Theater picks it up. With mounting financial pressures and a newborn at home, this is his chance for business success. But when Scott Rudin offers him a run on Broadway on the condition that he exploit more of his identity and the headlines, he must decide how much he’s willing to compromise to ultimately be accepted. WORLD PREMIERE!
LUMINOUS HALF-LIFE
by Tanya Barfield
The highly anticipated Los Angeles premiere by Pulitzer Prize-nominated Tanya Barfield is a moving love story that spans decades in an instant – of marriage, children, skydiving and endless moments that make a life together. BRIGHT HALF LIFE was developed during a residency at the National Conference of Playwrights at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center (Preston Whiteway, Executive Director; Wendy C. Goldberg, Artistic Director) in 2014.
BELOVED
